Dr. Khadijah Z. Ali-Coleman is a multi-media strategist and professional creative who has built an expansive interdisciplinary career as a professional in higher education, media and the arts. Dr. Ali-Coleman's research spans the intersections of African-American history, culture and scholarship. Recent research includes work on African American homeschooled students who are dual-enrolled in community college, creative placemaking as a tool for community building and high impact learning practices. Her expertise as a scholar and practitioner has been commissioned by the Prince George's County African-American Museum and Cultural Center, showcased at Impact Hub Baltimore and highlighted in her work with her brands Student Media Online and So Our Youth Aspire. She is co-founder of Black Family Homeschool Educators and Scholars and founding director of the multi-disciplinary arts company Liberated Muse Arts Group. Through her community-based practice and scholarship, she has implemented several signature events to highlight the cultural contributions of people of the African diaspora and broaden student access to media and communication arts opportunities.  Read More...
